Digital Account Manager – Wireless (Manchester)

What’s the purpose of this role?

You will be an externally facing, agency salesperson, responsible for maximising revenue and market share opportunities from an allocated set of media agencies. Responsible for building strong relationships at all levels and providing excellent customer service. You’ll  take responsibility for developing the social & digital solutions revenue across our properties on Virgin Radio, talkSPORT and talkRADIO.

Salary

Basic salary is dependent on experience + 40% Bonus Structure + Benefits

What are the responsibilities for this role?

  • You’ll be working with the Regional Sales Director to develop a sales strategy to maximise revenue.
  • You will be responsible for generating digital, video & social solutions briefs and revenue.
  • You’ll need to ensure standard methodology digital solutions are included where relevant in all responses.
  • Work with the Regional Sales Director and individual account managers to figure out target clients and categories.
  • To handle business potential and ensure every possible lead is followed up through active initiatives.
  • You will need to forecast accurate revenue by property and communicate this to the business.
  • You’ll be building and developing relevant senior contacts across the agency and client customer base.
  • Working with Activation departments to improve the delivery of the business.
  • To work with the Finance department to ensure minimal bad debt / queries.
  • To adhere to and implement equal opportunities and other HR policies across the team.
  • To support the Wireless Group management team as required.

Who are we looking for?

  • Good knowledge of media, agency and client processes and business objectives.
  • Shown knowledge of radio & digital including pricing models.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on digital solutions deals.
  • You will have a consistent record of building and nurturing relationships across a wide spectrum of agency disciplines.
  • A deep knowledge of the UK radio & digital industry is desirable but not essential.

Software knowledge

  • Experience using systems such as SalesForce, PAMCo and TGI.
