Weekend Sports Presenter/Co Ordinator

Our mission is to give the people of the Midlands coverage they can’t get anywhere else – the person who fills this role will be a key player in delivering this ambition.

Job Description:

• Produce and present a Sunday sport show focused on Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath from 2pm to 6pm.
• Coverage will include linking to live coverage of games across the Midlands, as well as providing live updates of scores from elsewhere.
• Develop feature content to fit around live action, and drive audience engagement by platforming listeners views.
• Co-Ordinate weekend sports content by liaising with weekday staff and presenter, commentators, including arranging accreditation and managing equipment.
• Manage Midlands 103 Sports output online over the weekend as appropriate.
• Work with the sales team and live comms teams to ensure sponsorship agreements are carried as agreed.
• Work with Head of Sport to identify and develop new on-air talent.
