  • Oversee programme budgets and resource planning for assigned weekday output
  • Set and uphold best practice in editorial standards, legal and ethical decision-making, and inclusive coverage across assigned output

What You’ll Have:

  • Expert editorial judgement, with the ability to set the agenda, prioritise stories, respond to breaking news and make confident, compliant decisions under pressure
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish current affairs, public debate and audience interests, with the ability to use that insight to shape distinctive, relevant and agenda-setting output
  • Authoritative understanding of media law, regulatory obligations, editorial compliance and ethical journalism, including the ability to advise teams and manage complex editorial issues
  • Proven ability to set audience-focused editorial strategy, using insight, feedback and performance signals to grow reach, deepen engagement and strengthen brand trust

  • Ability to develop and maintain high-value contacts and source networks that support original journalism, exclusive content and strong local or national story selection
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills, with the ability to mentor presenters, producers and researchers while embedding best practice across editorial teams
