Location: London Office with an option of some remote (EC4R)
HOURS OF WORK: 35 per week
CONTRACT: 12 months FTC, with a possibility to go permanent
Reporting To: Director of Content
Salary: £35,000 per annum

We urgently require an experienced and dynamic Senior Radio producer who can help shape the Christian voice for the UK, Premier Christian Radio.
You will work on our morning shows, discussing the stories of the day and the issues that matter through the lens of the Christian faith; while encouraging and building listener interaction from across the whole of the UK.

Key Tasks
- Work with the radio leadership team in the overall development of breakfast, mid-morning, and other daytime shows as relevant
- Contribute, research, and develop creative ideas for radio magazine programmes
- Support the development of and implement the editorial vision and policies
- Manage and train production assistants
- Respond to breaking news or direction of the day’s shows
- Live production of radio shows
- Source potential guests and interviewees
- Write show scripts
- Brief show teams on planned editorial
- Attend editorial/planning meetings
- Create and develop digital content
- Manage and train production assistants
- Work with presenters and studio-op/tech support
- Interviewing and editing of packages/features where required
- Repurpose the best audio pieces for trails and features
- Organise outside broadcasts and manage associated logistics
Requirements
- Strong editorial judgement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Creative ideas
- Working experience in broadcast/editing software is essential
- Working experience in using office, excel and teams is desirable
- Understanding the Ofcom Broadcast Code is essential
- Understanding of our audience and a genuine interest in matters of the Christian faith
Post-holder will work in a Christian environment and will deal with Christian organisations, Christian Ministries, and Christian listeners, most of the time; therefore, it will be necessary for the post-holder to be a Christian, with a strong and lived Christian faith.
