Dose-Response Toxicity Evaluation

  • September 19, 2025

Company Information

Dose-Response Toxicity Evaluation is a science that describes the relation between the exposure to a chemical and adverse health outcome among individuals exposed to it. This assessment is important to know how exposure to a substance in various concentrations can have different health effects, from zero to highly toxic.

The analysis generally consists of several steps: hazard assessment, dose response, exposure assessment and risk profile. When doing the dose-response analysis, the investigators write down the relative occurrence and severity of adverse effects for each dose administered. This correlation is fundamental to the calculation of optimum exposure and permissible limits of chemicals in any environment.
