Ujima Radio

Ujima Radio is Bristol's leading Black Media and Arts award-winning organisation (National Diversity Award and Community Radio Awards) delivering a diverse programme of activities and projects in pursuit of our Mission and Vision. Ujima Radio is a Black-led organisation, coordinated by a voluntary Board of Directors. As a social enterprise, core to our offer is our Ofcom-licensed Community Radio station, broadcasting culturally relevant news, discussion and music on-air and online with 30,000+ weekly listeners. The station celebrates African and Caribbean cultures through music and informative talk and thus it has a particular appeal to Bristol’s Black communities.

We work with our communities in order to understand needs, priorities and grow capacity by building appropriate responses to issues affecting them through arts, training, broadcast and media projects and activities.
