Company Information

Sick of listening to the same songs on repeat day in and day out? Sick of radio stations that play nothing but commercial drivel from morning until night? Sick of those fake as f*ck mid-Atlantic accents and horrible comedy skits? Reckon you could do better? You've come to the right place.

Do you have a vested interest in a particular subject? Would you be happy to talk about it once a week over the course of an hour? Would you be willing to do this in non paid capacity but be part of something that goes against the grain, shakes the shit out of the sterile state of Irish radio, and gives people a real alternative? If you answered yes to all of the above read on.

WFM (full name announced soon) is a forthcoming digital radio station licensed by PPI that will broadcast globally 24/7. The station will launch in Q4 of 2020 and be available on IOS (app store) and Android (Google Play) plus your preferred web browser.

WFM is here to change the landscape of Irish radio. We place a particular focus on Irish artists, female artists, new music, the underground, subcultures, topics of interest like LGBT, Black Lives Matter, Tech, Politics and more. While new music, Irish music and female-led music is our priority, expect to hear a wide variety of music and genres covered, from The Mary Wallopers to Denise Chaila, SOAK to The Altered Hours, Slint to Sly & The Family Stone, XXXTentacion to X-Ray Specs, Skepta to Squarepusher, Easy E to Triptykon, King Tubby to Kraftwerk, Robyn to The Ruts, Japan to Air, Entombed to Umberto, Mac DeMarco to Charly Bliss, Com Truise to Brutality, Trippie Red to Fontaines DC, Emma Langford to Playboi Carti. We go underground, overground and all around the world to bring you quality programming and quality music.

If being part of this movement is something that excites you we'd love to hear from you, and while experience in radio, podcasting, broadcasting is preferred it is not essential.

So, why should I get in touch?

You have an idea for a 60-minute broadcast that is in line with our believes/ethos.

You can pre-record or live present a 60-minute show once a week.

You have a vested interest in changing Irish radio for the better.

You have amazing music taste and the voice of a charismatic angel.

Finally...

Feel free to send us a blurb, no need for a full CV (but CVs are welcome). Send us a link to your audio demo (if you have one).
