FUBAR is Britain’s biggest LIVE podcast network. Our uncensored live-broadcast content reaches millions of 18-to-34-year olds every week. We don’t have DJs or traditional presenters. Instead, we work with the biggest names in entertainment as well as nurturing the best of emerging talent who already have a large social following. In doing so, we cover a diverse range of programming that includes comedy, celebrity news, politics, football, sex and relationships and much more. But all of our content has one thing in common. Job Description
- The Assistant Radio Producer will provide support to the radio broadcasting studio team in planning, producing, and delivering high-quality radio shows and content. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for radio broadcasting. The role will be based full-time in our Islington-based studio.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, development, and planning of radio show topics and content.
- Collaborate with the production team to create engaging and entertaining radio scripts.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, guests, and contributors for radio shows.
- Prepare and edit audio recordings, ensuring high sound quality and clarity.
- Assist in the production of live radio shows, including operating audio equipment and managing on-air timings.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance the quality and appeal of radio shows.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the studio.
- Assist in managing social media platforms and engaging with the radio station's online audience.
- Support in administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining databases.
- Stay updated with industry trends, music releases, and current affairs to ensure relevant and up-to-date radio content.
What We're Looking For
Requirements
- Proven experience or qualification in radio production, journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in UK English.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in audio editing software and radio broadcasting equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of music genres, popular culture, and current events.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality.
