Description

Breakfast Show Digital Content Producer

We’re on the hunt for an amazing Digital Content Producer to join our Breakfast team! You love video, can edit audio with ease, and you're always ahead of the latest TikTok trends.

At Gaydio, we’re not just interested in what Dua Lipa’s up to (though we do love a bop). We mix the serious with the silly – amplifying voices, championing our culture, and connecting our community to build a vibrant future for LGBTQ+ people.

You’ll live and breathe LGBTQ+ life, knowing what our audience is talking about and how best to tap into that in the digital landscape.

This is a 6-month fixed-term role based at our Manchester studios, for 20 hours a week spread over 5 days. However there may be scope for flexibility, additional hours and contract extension.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Bringing ideas to the table about what’s trending in the LGBTQ+ world
  • Creating engaging social video content – whether it's studio moments, interviews, or TikTok-style trends
  • Developing original and on-trend video concepts
  • Designing graphics and editing audio for social media and broadcast
  • Jumping on-air – personality required! You’ll be part of the Breakfast Show
  • Supporting the wider team – we’re a small team with big ambitions
  • Helping with audio editing, graphic design, and occasional on-location filming
  • Growing our social media presence, hitting key KPIs, and reporting using analytics

What You'll Bring:

  • Essential:
    • Video editing skills using Premiere Pro
    • Audio editing experience with Audition
    • Graphic design skills using Photoshop
    • A deep understanding of LGBTQ+ life, issues, and culture
    • A strong grasp of social media platforms and how to connect with audiences
  • Preferable:
    • Knowledge of radio, broadcast legalities, and the OFCOM code
    • Familiarity with social media algorithms, analytics, and ad platforms
    • Experience with radio studio operations and the Zetta playout system
  • A love for early mornings (don’t worry – coffee’s on us!)
  • A solid understanding of how to make great content
  • Alignment with our Mission, Vision and Values (check them out here)

What We’ll Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days’ holiday per annum (pro rata)
  • Your birthday off
  • Bank holidays off
  • A fun, supportive team
  • Team socials
  • Free tea, coffee, soft drinks, and fruit in the office

Closing date: 6th July – but we’re keen to get going, so we may close applications early.

We’re committed to representing the full diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and especially encourage applications from lesbian, bi, trans, queer and other underrepresented voices – including people of colour, disabled people, and those from other marginalised backgrounds.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Send your CV, cover letter, and examples of how you meet the requirements above to recruitment@gaydio.co.uk, clearly demonstrating your experience with the essential criteria.
