Our work includes life-changing premium rate SMS competitions like 'Cash Register' and ‘Make Me A Winner’; online transactional businesses such as ‘Planet Offers’; 100+ dating sites including ‘Coupling Up’ and ‘Magic dating’; partnerships such as 'Prize Jar', 'Bella Casino', and 'Quiznuts'; and ticketing sites like ‘’ & ‘Planet Rock Tickets’.This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Bauer Media Team of the Year to create, implement and manage the content of some of the biggest radio competitions in the UK. With a content background (and a commercial head!) you will play a key role within our rapidly expanding Enterprise SMS team.

Main Responsibilities

Our competitions enjoy a prominent position on our radio stations and they are a vital part of our business. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing the on-air and online content of our industry-leading competitions across our radio brands, networks and digital platforms;
  • Writing and distributing presenter briefs and scripts;
  • Co-ordinating, adjudicating and producing competition executions;
  • Monitoring and appraising delivery of SMS competitions across our portfolio and providing feedback;
  • Supporting the Content & Audience Engagement Director and Content Directors across the business to devise and develop innovative and engaging consumer propositions;
  • Ensuring competitions comply with all applicable regulations and are fully compliant;
  • Supporting Bauer brands to achieve revenue targets.

Person Specification

The ability to create entertaining and engaging competitions is at the heart of everything you’ll do in this role, so you’ll bring:

  • Creative flair;
  • Previous relevant experience within radio or other media;
  • The ability to manage a busy workload in a time-pressured environment;
  • Great team working skills, and the ability to support others in the team as needed;
  • Confidence in your interpersonal skills;
  • A real passion for the brands you’re working with;
  • Sound understanding of the Ofcom Broadcast Code.
