Deputy Programme Manager (S&P and Imaging)
kmfm is a successful independent radio station broadcasting in the South East and are looking to add to their team.
The kmfm ‘Deputy Programme Manager (S&P and Imaging)’ role is an exciting, varied, and brand-new role at Kent’s Radio Station based in Rochester.
This role would suit someone who has worked in audio production, has managed projects/workflow and can demonstrate relevant experience working within commercial radio and directly with talent.
Everyone says it, but this role really will be different everyday! Working across S&P, Audio Imaging and Production, this role would suit a multiskilled person who loves daily variety, likes to be challenged, working to deadlines, managing long form projects and enjoys working close with talent.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, great at working in a team and solus, solutions driven and confident. You will lead by example, not settle for ‘ok’ and will always strive for the best content and creative. You will need good organisational skills, used to cloud working (GDrive) and have a full
clean drivers licence.
Your key relationships will be with our Head of Broadcast, Deputy Programme Manager, Head of Music, Head of Commercial Production, Head of Commercial and Radio Sales Managers.
- Working with our Head of Broadcast, Deputy Programme Manager (S&P and Web), Head of Music and commercial heads; you will create and aid market leading sponsorship and
promotional opportunities. - You will be a big part in meetings alongside the team showcasing ideas whilst understanding
and considering execution strategy/laydown. - You will be an active lead in the execution of promotions whilst considering and using our
multimedia channels to reach maximum audiences. - You will be part of the management team here at kmfm and expected to ensure the output
drives audience and hours. - You will be responsible for programme schedules – work with the Programme Manager to deliver an agreed programming schedule and ensure it delivers to required station values.
- Working with our Head of Broadcast and Deputy Programme Manager (S&P Music and Web) you
will host airchecks with some of our presenters to get the very best from programmes on all
parts of the schedule. - You will be able to draw upon your knowledge and experience in commercial radio to offer
ideas, feedback and drive change within programming and production. - One of the key parts of this role is your understanding and ability to create audio production.
- Working with the Head of Broadcast and Head of Commercial Production you will understand
audio programmes (ideally Pro Tools/Adobe Audition) know how to edit audio and turn
around promos and imaging to a high standard. - You will know how to write a slick promo whilst getting across commercial key messages and
client USPs. - Using curated video footage from Virtual Director and videographers, project manage and
direct video content creation for promotions and features. - Basic understanding of how to edit video footage and create video image for kmfm using Premier Pro and After Effects.
- Managing video equipment where needed and conduct basic filming when needed.
