Description

We are looking for a senior creative leader who can inspire our music teams to win new audiences in new ways. By using your unrivalled relationships in the music industry, our portfolio of stations which reach over 20 million listeners a week in the UK, and by collaborating with our European colleagues in eight different countries, your job will be to innovate in the world of music radio.

Having extensive experience of working with labels, managers and artists in the UK and internationally is essential. You will also have previous experience of leading teams who are knowledgeable in how music is currently consumed on radio, social and video platforms, as well as in the live events industry.

You must be passionate, knowledgeable, and interested in all the music genres we play across our radio stations, and you’ll have exciting as well as challenging ideas about the opportunities Bauer must implement to continue to engage our listeners with new, returning and catalogue artists. Understanding the strengths of music radio is key to this role, as is the ability to see new ways of programming stations, organising playlists and creating content that will complement and enhance our brands.

Reporting to the Chief Content and Music Officer you’ll be continuing to bring the existing music teams across the Bauer UK portfolio closer together to collaborate on projects and new initiatives. You’ll be confident leading a team through change and bring your experience to inspire and encourage people to think and work in new ways.

This is a new position for Bauer Media Audio UK. It brings together all our music teams from our famous radio station brands in the UK but also is an opportunity to use our scale across Europe to build new wider relationships.

  • Work closely with station Content Directors, social and video teams to develop great creative repeatable formats for artists that can grow audiences
  • Develop new opportunities and partnerships with our live music team, to complement our current calendar of activity.
