Greatest Hits Radio – Sales Manager – Yorkshire Coast
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager to motivate, coach and manage our already successful commercial team based across the Yorkshire Coast.
The Sales Manager will embody Bauer Media’s values and drive Bauer’s company strategy and goals into the commercial business to a high quality and to desired timelines.
You will take responsibility for the delivery of commercial revenues through the management of the sales team and the day to day business. Managing activities such as productivity, sales activity, customer management and development, streamlining processes and administration and delivering quality customer service in order to deliver robust financial performance.
What you will do:
You must be able to deliver information efficiently and accurately to the right people, at the right time, using the right medium. You will have genuine empathy for others and maximise your impact through understanding the motivations of your team and adapt their communication style accordingly.
When a non-obvious answer or solution is needed to a problem, you will be relied upon to find it. You will also know when and how to delegate correctly.
The role requires significant levels of collaboration and you are expected to communicate and collaborate with fellow managers and other department leaders as well as your own team members.
The role is highly challenging and always changing and as sales manager you should be able to cope with the daily stresses and manage your emotions, reactions and impact on others.
To keep people on-track and motivated, you will be expected to demonstrate a genuine passion for your team's mission, translating the commercial vision into the day to day. You will implement the core deliverables associated with the core commercial strategy via the sales operations and within the local markets that you are responsible for with exceptional results.
The Sales Manager must understand the importance of data. You will be expected to review data, see what is relevant, draw meaningful conclusions and find actionable takeaways as part of the everyday.
CRM is a core priority in how you will be expected to manage the business, your sales teams, and customers. Through this you will drive KPI delivery to improve performance for individuals and your teams.
You will be expected to develop excellence through operating within a structured environment including managing a specific sales methodology, forecast methodology and or structured deal management by sales stage.
A large part of the role is not only to motivate individuals but regularly coach the team to be better. You will have strong skills and experience of coaching sales teams to success. You should have an ability to observe, evaluate and deliver meaningful feedback. Providing on the job and classroom training as part of their every day is important and you understand that developing your people into a best in class sales team; focusing upon skill, behaviour and knowledge is your number 1 priority.
