We are currently recruiting for a vacancy for a full-time guest producer – responsible for placing the best names as guests on some of our biggest shows (Including Claudia Winkleman on Radio 2 and Laura Whitmore on 5 Live). As well as our regular strands you’ll also book for some of our ad hoc commissions and be a key part of the development process bringing new ideas for podcasts and network pitches.
As a full-time member of the TBI Audio Content team, you’ll work closely with productions suggesting, and booking, talent for various shows, demonstrating a deep understanding of the programmes and their different requirements.
You’ll also produce research documents and where required record interviews (either remotely or in-person). As such we’re looking for someone with strong journalistic skills who can write exceptional research notes and interview questions.
Whilst the role sits within the Audio division, you’ll also contribute towards programmes in our TV and Events teams.
You’ll also need to have first-class organisational skills. Keeping up-to-date records of guest booking (both past and upcoming) in relevant shared files, and passing all required information onto programme teams and guests in advance of guest appearances / recordings.
Initially this role will be based in London (At our Charlotte Street office) at least two-days per week, but this is likely to change as/when our COVID protocols are relaxed.
You’ll represent TBI in weekly meetings with networks to share forward planning details and guest clashes. We’re looking for someone who’s confident to publicly represent the company whether it’s in a zoom, face-to-face meeting or pitch.
You’ll report to the Head of Audio (Geoff Jein) and liaise directly with the show production teams.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Professional experience booking guests is a must, although this could be for radio, TV or print. We’ll expect strong journalistic skills, excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding talent management.
SALARY: £30-32k per annum (d.o.e)
