Income Generation Officer

Salford City Radio is looking for an exceptional person to take on the role of Income Generation Officer

The radio is a Salford based not for-profit organisation, limited by guarantee in it's nineteenth year of broadcast. It is an Ofcom-regulated community radio station that uses broadcasting as a medium to engage and connect the local community, to promote the learning of new skills, reduce social isolation, and promote health and well-being, and to provide a platform for everyone in Salford to have a voice.

The Role
Full time 37.5 hours/Jobshare
Salary £30,000
The contract is for 12 months initially. The post holder to raise funds to sustain the post for the following year plus additional funding to support the station.
The primary role of the Income Generation Officer is to further develop Salford City Radio’s relationships across the community, working collaboratively with Salford City Radio to generate additional and sustainable earned income. This is vital for taking the organisation to the next stage of it’s development.
There are no on air activities as part of this role.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in professional fundraising (securing annual figures of £50,000 or more), excellent communication skills, motivation, time management and initiative, and the ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, as part of a very committed team. Plus a strong knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the work of Salford City Radio, and the local community.
There will be some flexible working within station premises, the local community, and some home-based hours. There may be some out of office hours work on occasion.
