Job Title – Journalist / Reporter

Location – Cork

Following an internal promotion, a rare opportunity has arisen to join the award winning news team at Cork’s 96FM and C103.

We’re seeking an ambitious reporter to generate multimedia content for on-air, the news pages of our websites and our social media channels.

The successful candidate will have the passion and initiative to react to breaking news in Cork.   You will ensure that everything you broadcast or put online is legally sound, BAI compliant, accurate and balanced.

The successful candidate will work with the bulletin team as well as those producing The Opinion Line on Cork’s 96FM and Cork Today on C103.    From time to time there will be opportunities to share content with colleagues at other Wireless stations.

While the role is mainly an out and about one, you may be required to cover shifts on the news desk as and when the need arises.

The ability to build strong contacts and to represent our brands professionally at all times is key.

A strong broadcast voice and a full driving licence are essential for this role.
