AudioUK is looking for a Managing Director to lead development of the organisation and implement strategy as directed by the Board. The contract is based on a two days per week commitment. Candidates will have experience at an appropriately senior level in the audio industry and will be able to demonstrate real vision about the opportunities available to AudioUK members.

AudioUK (formerly the Radio Independents Group) is the trade association for professional audio production companies and creative businesses around the UK, making high-quality content for radio, podcasting and audiobooks. Our main aim is to help our member companies, and by extension the UK audio production industry as a whole, to operate successfully and to grow their businesses.

The organisation has an increasingly strong and respected profile in the media, as well as in Government and Parliament. It provides the day to day services associated with a trade body, including successfully negotiating terms of trade and taking steps to grow the market, both at a national and international level.

We are seeking a Managing Director who embraces the potential brought about by new commercial possibilities and the BBC’s Radio Commissioning Framework who will take AudioUK ‘to the next level’, both operationally, and in terms of the vision it offers to members and companies for the future of our industry.

The broad areas of the Managing Director's activities cover AudioUK management and representation, liaison with commissioning organisations and platforms and leading on business development for the organisation.
