The Radio Production Assistant is a key role in supporting the Skills World Live Radio Show, the weekly term-time radio show, connecting the world FE, broadcast by
www.fenews.co.uk.

The show has set a lot of records since it was first broadcast during the pandemic. It has attracted over 75,000 listeners and is the number one education podcast available via most of the popular streaming sites. The podcast has attracted
several imitations as other media outlets have looked to copy the success of the show.

We are looking for an ambitious individual who wants to work with our production team and sponsors to take the show to the next level. Current broadcast experience working on political and current affairs programmes would be really helpful. As would a good knowledge of the education sector.

Skills World Live Productions is a trailblazer in the FE sector for digital output and we are looking for someone that can bring fresh ideas to the production and given the nature of role, it is essential that you are comfortable to work at pace and to hit the ground running.

This position will require the post-holder to be comfortable and confident in speaking with very senior stakeholders and leaders in the sector, including MPs (and their offices),
College Principals, Chief Executives of awarding organisations and employers.

The Skills World Radio Show is now on series 4; and as well as a weekly studio show, recorded in our Sussex-based studio the radio show is going on tour at colleges around
the UK in 2022. There is no regular requirement to attend the studio, although the post holder will be required to attend the road show episodes. You will also need to meet up in-person with the SWL presenter/ production team from time to time for planning meetings (although the majority of these meetings will take place virtually).

Previous episodes of the Skills World Live Radio Show can be viewed here: www.skillsworldlive.com.
