ARC Radio is looking for on-air personalities/presenters to present their own show, live or pre-recorded on our ever-expanding station.

ARC Radio was established in October 2020 and has seen phenomenal growth in its first year, reaching over 270k people in the 3 months to November 2021. Our current schedule combines a huge variety of music from independent and signed artists and specialised evening and weekend shows. We are now looking to add to that schedule and have opportunities for daily, weekly, specialist shows and limited run series.

We are forever expanding our musical offer to the listeners and whilst we are led by (A)mericana (R)oots & (C)ountry we are inspired to offer the best and widest listening experience from a station of its kind. To that end we are looking to add Blues, Jazz and alternative music to our rotation – it’s a song with a heart it will be considered for airplay.


You will be responsible for producing and presenting a show which will be broadcast at agreed time/s within the week.

You will ensure the right mix of music to chat (approx. 80/20). Including playing music from the weekly New Music Playlist.

You will participate in station wide promotions and be responsible for promoting your show/s on social media platforms – support with content/artwork etc will be provided.


You will have experience of producing and presenting a radio show or similar content e.g., Podcasting

You will have access to appropriate equipment to ensure high quality broadcast (microphone, high speed internet connection*, PC with software for playing out and recording audio, a mixing desk**)

*for live broadcasts **this is ideal but not essential

You will have a passion for the music which you are playing and curate your own playlists (music can be provided as required) and demonstrate a knowledge of the genre/s.

You will have basic knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and able to post content to promote your show/s (artwork will be supplied)

You will have appropriate PC skills in order to use webmail, recording software (e.g. Audacity). If you chose to broadcast live then knowledge of broadcasting software and compression are essential.

You will receive full support to produce professional promos for your show/s both in online and on-air media.

Whilst this is a voluntary role this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills and reach within the radio industry whilst having a great time!
