Reports to the Regional Commercial Director
Salary & Bonus and Package commensurate to the seniority of the position (Negotiable) - includes car allowance.

Focus of the role
To build and lead a commercially successful market-leading radio brand.
The Station Director will embody Bauer Media’s values and drive Bauer’s company strategy and goals into the commercial business to a high quality and to desired timelines.
You will be passionate and driven in creating a vibrant, motivated and supported culture for our people to work in whilst driving love and loyalty for our brands.
You will drive the implementation of strategic goals in relation to people and proposition for Bauer Media into the local business unit with a focus upon Revenue, Quality, Process and Cost. To be delivered through the management of productivity, sales activity, streamlining processes and administration and delivering quality customer service in order to deliver robust financial performance.
Contribute to the creation, refinement and execution of the station strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders
Lead and develop (in conjunction with Bauer function leads) a multi-disciplinary team of radio professionals to successfully reach challenging and changing business goals.
Influence buy-in among the senior and wider station team through clear and effective communication facilitating a culture of success and aspiration across the station
Primary role focus is to effectively deliver the station’s local revenue and targeted profit. Responsible for the delivery, through your team, of our fair share of advertising in line with our overarching share and network strategy.
CRM is a priority in how the station director manages their business, customers and people. Through this you will drive KPI delivery to improve performance for individuals and teams.
You will be expected to develop excellence through operating within a structured environment including managing a specific sales methodology, forecast methodology and structured deal management by sales stage.
A large part of the role is not only to motivate individuals but regularly coach the team to be better. Providing on the job and classroom training as part of the everyday is important. Developing the team into a best in class sales team; focusing upon skill, behaviour and knowledge is high priority.
Build and drive the profile of the brand with key internal and external stakeholders by being at the heart of the local business community and ensuring detailed understanding of wider media landscape and competitive marketplace
Ensure effective day to day operational responsibility for areas such as station security, health and safety, etc
Work collaboratively with wider UK Bauer team to share cross-functional ideas and best practice to maximise existing revenue streams and identify/nurture new revenue opportunities
This role is based in the Pirate FM postcode area with offices in Redruth.
You will be leading the team to promote the wider Bauer Commercial portfolio to businesses located in the region
