The British Forces broadcaster is looking for a talented and multi-skilled Station Sound and Music Manager to join our brilliant team. If you’re excited about the prospect of moulding an excellent music and station sound offering, to make a positive difference to the morale of our audience, then this is a unique career opportunity.


We want you to help to shape our sound within a 70% music, 30% speech format.  The audience is a community of interest (the UK armed services and their families) with a core demographic of 18 to 35 with a slight male skew.  We have a variety of stations, locally and nationally in the UK as well as overseas.


To be successful in this role you will already be adept at scheduling music across multiple channels, preferably with knowledge of Autotrack 4 software and will have experience of liaising with PRS, MPCS and PPL.  You will be accustomed to forging and maintaining great relationships with music labels, industry organisations and presentation teams.  You’ll be a natural collaborator, able to identify and work with internal and external stakeholders, adapting your style where necessary.  You’ll also be a competent sound producer, that understands how music, promos and imaging makes radio sound even better. Radio presentation skills are desirable but not essential.

You will be able to demonstrate that you’re resourceful, innovative, flexible and reliable, with bags of creativity and enthusiasm.

The base for this job is flexible (including home working), but you will be required to travel on occasion to various locations when required.
