Voluntary: Broadcasting Engineer
Voluntary: Experienced Broadcast Engineer
Gosport Hospital Radio has been in operation since 1993 and provides a 24 hr local broadcasting service for the local hospital, hospices, care homes and patients receiving care in the community.
It provides programmes of interest e.g. music requests, live and pre-recorded interviews for patients who are sick and infirm. It provides information via our online app https://gosporthr.radiostream321.com/
The station also supports local events by providing outside PA systems for local and official events. These activities also generate essential income to maintain the ongoing running costs of the radio station.
Gosport Hospital Radio is a charitable organisation and relies wholly on volunteer support and charitable donations.
We are currently transforming our services and looking for an experienced broadcast engineer who can spare a few hours per week to help maintain and improve the stations output.
The role also includes working with other volunteers to provide technical insight and support with the ongoing day to day operations of the radio station. The role would suit individuals who have worked in commercial or BBC Radio stations.
If you feel you have the skills, experience and time whilst being part of a committed team, then please contact the Chair; Bob Whitbread for an informal chat about the role firstname.lastname@example.org
