Are you based in the North East of England or have strong affiliations with the region? If you answered 'yes,' this opportunity is tailor-made for you!

We are seeking a unique Drive Time Presenter to captivate our audience during their journey home in the North East.

Three new radio stations, The Toon (Newcastle and Tyneside), The Cat (Sunderland and Wearside) and The Red (Middlesbrough and Teesside) have launched this year on DAB, Online and on Smart Speakers and we are looking for talented presenters, with a passion for the area and their team to join us.

Who we're looking for:

Local Talent: Are you a born-and-bred Geordie, Mackem or Smoggy or do you have strong affiliations with the North East? We want presenters who truly  understand the heartbeat of the region and its deep connection to their teams.

Football Fanatics: Though we ARE NOT footy radio stations, footy does course through the veins of North East life, so your passion for your team should be unmatched! We need presenters who can bring the game to life through their expert analysis, entertaining discussions, and infectious enthusiasm and banter.

Charismatic Personalities: As a presenter, you'll be the voice of our stations. We want individuals with charisma, charm, and a natural ability to engage listeners.  Bring your unique flair and make a lasting impression!

Emerging Talent: We are particularly keen to unearth the next big North East thing - we love helping budding presenters blossom - could it be you ?

Though we are three separate radio stations, we will be networking all three at key times to allow for true North East debate and banter to over 2 million adults by the end of 2024. You could be central to it.

Responsibilities:

Host your own Drivetime show dedicated to the North East and your team, featuring match reviews, player interviews, fan debates, and the latest news coming out of the clubs.

Engage with our loyal listeners through phone-ins, social media interactions, and community events. Connect with the passionate fan base and keep the conversation alive.

Collaborate with our production team to create exciting and engaging content, ensuring each show is entertaining, informative, and tailored to the interests of our audience.
