Wanted: Multiplatform Superhero (cape optional)

Fun Kids is a multi-platform kids business with an award winning national radio station, a podcast network that delivers a million downloads per month and digital output that spans a successful website, social media and video. To help us continue to deliver for children and parents we’re looking for a new production superhero.

In the past year, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Fun Kids arguably made more difference to the lives of our audience than at any other time in our 15 year history. We have produced audio that helps keep kids active, educated them on the pandemic and that made them laugh – generating our highest ever streaming, downloads and website numbers.

We now have a rare opportunity to join our team as a junior multi-platform producer. You will need to be a good audio editor, know your way around social media, have a decent level of video editing ability and be able to write copy that will engage primary school children and parents. We will be keen to see examples of these skills, whether for previous roles, in education, or used in other parts of your life.

But this job isn’t just about the technical skills, it’s about ideas too. We aim to create content that children and parents talk about with their friends. Check out our website funkidslive.com to see what we are up to, and if you think it’s the sort of place where you could make a difference, get in touch with:

  • A short cover letter explaining why you think you would be great at this job
  • An up-to-date CV
  • Some audio you have produced (no longer than five minutes)
  • Something that caught your attention about the radio station’s on air output

Send this to Matt Deegan – matt@funkidslive.com with the subject: Capes

As part of this job you will receiving training and support to adapt your skills to our ways of working as well as having space to bring new ideas and help shape the development of all of our products.

The team are currently all working from home, but by the time this role starts, we’ll be regularly, but probably not exclusively, working from our office in Holborn.

We are looking for someone to start in June and applications close on Monday 10th May at 5pm, so grab your cape and get in touch!
