Job Title: Marketing and Advertising Executive
Department: Sales and Marketing
Reports To: Station Manager
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time positions
Salary: Competitive - based on experience
Location: Heartland FM, Perthshire (Hybrid optional)
Objective:
To drive Heartland FM’s advertising sales and marketing efforts, enhancing advertising reach and community engagement through strategic relationship building, creative campaigns, and proactive market engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Advertising Sales:
- Develop and execute advertising sales strategies to increase station revenue through local and regional ad placements.
- Design and present tailored advertising solutions that meet the specific needs and budgets of clients.
- Negotiate and finalise sales deals, ensuring they align with the station’s advertising standards and revenue goals.
Marketing Initiatives:
- Lead the creation and implementation of marketing strategies to promote Heartland FM’s brand and increase market penetration.
- Coordinate with the digital team to leverage online platforms for broader campaign reach and visibility.
- Analyse market trends and adjust marketing strategies to meet changing market and
competitive conditions.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local businesses, media partners, and community leaders.
- Serve as the primary liaison for advertising and marketing inquiries, ensuring a positive and proactive interaction with the station.
Content and Campaign Management:
- Oversee the development of engaging advertising content that aligns with client goals and station standards.
- Collaborate with content creators and production teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of advertising materials.
- Monitor ongoing campaigns and adjust for performance and client satisfaction.
Community and Client Engagement:
- Represent Heartland FM at community and business events, increasing the station’s visibility and involvement.
- Initiate and support community-based projects and broadcasts that enhance station presence and community relations.
Performance Analysis:
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of advertising and marketing strategies, providing reports on ROI, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimise future marketing efforts and sales results.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in advertising sales and marketing, preferably within the media or related industry.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Proficient in digital marketing techniques and analytics tools.
- A demonstrated passion for community engagement and media.
