Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience)

Uniquely targeting an 18 to 35 demographic, we’re pioneering the talk-radio of tomorrow—raw, intelligent, and unfiltered, a "Radio 4 for the next generation". With a DAB launch on the horizon, we are at the start of a rapid expansion plan, launching multiple new programming initiatives that will require multi-skilled producers.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Radio Producer to lead the production of our flagship Politics and Finance shows.
This role requires a sharp editorial mind, a passion for current affairs and economic trends, and the ability to craft compelling, informative, and entertaining content for a young, diverse digital audience.
You’ll be based at our Islington studio, working closely with presenters, guests, the social media and commercial sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, produce, and edit weekly live shows on Politics and Finance. These two separate shows constitute up to 4 hours of content per week.
- You will be expected to increase your workload to at least two additional 1 to 2 hour shows per week, helping in their development as a full-time member of the growing production team.
- Collaborate with presenters to shape show formats, segment ideas, and guest bookings.
- Monitor current political events and financial news to ensure timely and relevant content.
- Liaise with guests, researchers, and external contributors.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Between 3 and 5+ years’ experience in broadcast talk-radio or successful podcast production, specifically in the areas of politics, finance or both. Work in other areas would be an advantage.
- Strong editorial judgment and understanding of UK and global political and economic landscapes.
- An understanding of what interests and engages a younger generation.
- Excellent audio editing skills (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
- Confident in managing live broadcasts and working under pressure.
- Strong communication, organisational, and research skills.
- A creative mindset with a keen ear for engaging audio storytelling.
