About Fix Radio

Fix Radio is the UK’s fastest-growing radio brand and the home of entertainment, music, and information for the nation’s tradespeople.

Since launching in 2017, the station has been built specifically for the trade community, delivering authentic voices, upbeat music, and programming designed around the working day of UK tradespeople.

Our schedule features some of the industry’s most recognisable personalities, including The Bald Builders, Clive Holland, Chris Frediani, Thomas Nagy, Robin Clevett, and Daryl Robinson, alongside rising comedy talent Josh James and Chris White on our flagship drivetime show, Clocking Off.

Broadcasting nationally on DAB since May 2022, Fix Radio now reaches more than 750,000 weekly listeners, with average listening hours significantly outperforming industry benchmarks. The station is also a multi-award-winning broadcaster, earning seven ARIAS nominations in 2026, alongside previous Gold wins at both the ARIAS and the Audio & Radio Industry Awards.

As the business continues to grow rapidly across audience, revenue, and team size, we remain committed to fostering a collaborative and creative culture where talented people can thrive, develop, and make a genuine impact.

The Role

Fix Radio is expanding again and is now looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Producer to lead production on our flagship drivetime programme, Clocking Off with Josh & Chris.

This is a senior creative role suited to someone with a strong track record in radio production, audience engagement, and talent management. You will play a key role in shaping the editorial direction of the show, driving audience growth, and maintaining the high production standards expected across the station.

Working closely with presenters, executive producers, assistant producers, and the wider programming team, you will be responsible for creating engaging, entertaining, and relevant content for our trade audience. This includes developing show features, competitions, listener interaction, guest booking, scripting, and daily promo production.

This is also an on-air role, requiring confidence contributing to live discussions and bringing personality and humour to the programme.

There may also be opportunities to work with other talent at times, and possibly help with the development of other shows on the station.

The show is recorded-as-live from our studios at Vox Studios in Vauxhall, meaning regular attendance in the London office (minimum twice per week) is required. It may also be a requirement for the producer to attend the office daily Mon to Thu if the show is broadcast live in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of daily show content and editorial strategy.
  • Work closely with the Programme Director to evolve and strengthen the show’s format and audience appeal.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and expectations with on-air talent.
  • Collaborate with executive and assistant producers to generate original and engaging content ideas.
  • Produce compelling listener-focused content, including competitions, calls, texts, and audience interaction features.
  • Book guests and prepare scripts and briefing materials where required.
  • Ensure all content complies with Ofcom regulations and internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain exceptional production quality across audio editing, show output, imaging, and promo production.
  • Work alongside the Head of Digital Content to maximise the use of show content across social and digital platforms.
  • Support the delivery of commercial partnerships and sponsored content integrations to the highest industry standards.
  • Contribute on-air where appropriate, bringing energy, personality, and humour to the programme.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience producing or co-hosting a radio show, ideally within entertainment or music radio.
  • Excellent audio production and editing skills using Adobe Audition or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of engaging radio content and audience development.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Understanding of Ofcom regulations and broadcast compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Fix Radio’s target audience and tone of voice.

Desirable

  • Experience using Zetta / Zetta2Go.
  • Experience creating digital and social-first content from radio programming.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace / Google Docs.

What We Offer

  • Highly competitive salary.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Half day off on the last Friday of every month.
  • Birthday day off.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Quarterly team socials.
  • ClassPass gym and wellbeing membership.
  • Opportunity to work with one of the UK’s fastest-growing and most exciting media brands.
  • A supportive and collaborative culture that actively encourages creativity, personal development, and industry recognition.
