We are are looking for a Weekend Producer to join our team at Hits Radio in London.

 

As a Weekend Producer for Hits Radio you are responsible to ensure we deliver the highest operational standards right across the station at the weekend. Your primary role will involve you working directly with both the live and pre-recorded presenters on the station, helping them deliver the best content in-line with the station strategy.  You will be accountable for the planning and technical execution of a variety of live shows across the weekend. You will also play a key part in building and editing content for playout across the weekend.

You will be working from our office in London Euston Weekends only. 

 

What you will do 

 

  • You will work with the presenters of a variety of live shows across the weekend to ensure they deliver the highest standards in entertaining content in-line with our brand filter and station strategy.
  • You will deliver content that drives fame, relatability and topicality to make each radio show an ‘event’
  • You will ensure the radio show delivers the very best engagement from audiences.
  • You’ll work alongside Bauer’s entertainment and social teams to deliver compelling content from our presenters and guests.
  • You will work with the Deputy Director to ensure all pre-recorded programmes are delivered on time and transmit without fault.
  • You’ll ensure all weekend presenters are briefed on relevant commercial and editorial content.
  • You will work closely with the stations Operations Producers to ensure the best use of production and to identify and resolve any live technical issues.
  • You’ll manage the logistics around pre-recorded programmes including studio bookings, and briefings.
  • You will ensure all of the content broadcast fulfils all requirements within the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.
  • You will work along side Bauer’s enterprise team to ensure the highest standard in operations for our contesting strands.

 

What you will bring

 

  • Strong understanding of the Hits Radio Brand, the music we play and the audience we serve.
  • Very strong knowledge of station play-out, scheduling and radio studio software.
  • Strong understanding of what makes compelling content for station’s audience.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills, designed to lead and inspire the team around you.
  • You’ll be used to working around high-profile talent.
  • Sensational planning and communication skills.
  • Great skill sets with office software including Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Excellent skills in audio editing
  • Collaborative approach to learning and developing and working across function and with colleagues from other brands
  • A burning desire to absorb the output and identify areas for improvement across all dayparts.
