Radio News Hub provides high-quality, engaging, and timely news content to more than 400 radio stations across the UK and beyond. We pride ourselves on delivering accurate journalism and maintaining a fast-paced, dynamic newsroom environment.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Newsroom Manager to join our team on a part-time basis 10am-3pm Monday-Friday (25 hours). Working from our Leeds office, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the newsroom, ensuring smooth delivery of news output, and supporting our team of journalists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily newsroom activities to ensure coverage is timely, accurate, and engaging.
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of journalists, fostering a collaborative and dynamic culture.
- Take responsibility for the monthly newsroom rota.
- Manage and monitor the newsroom budget effectively.
- Drive high editorial standards and encourage professional development across the team.
About You:
- Proven experience in a newsroom leadership or senior journalist role.
- Strong understanding of news values and standards.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial and rota management experience is desirable.
