About the Role  

As we continue to grow and develop our content team, we are currently inviting applications for an Assistant Producer role in our expanding digital audio department. This role is primarily – but not exclusively - involved in uploading, creating and maintaining short-form daily podcasts and will require some on-air ability.

We're seeking a creative and ambitious person who can be involved in the creation, production and delivery of short form podcasts that dovetail with our long form pods.

As an Assistant Digital Audio Producer, you will work with our Senior Producer Digital Audio to track, create and deliver innovative digital audio content with impact.

 

What You’ll Do  

  • Work with the leader of the Digital Audio team to produce best in class content that grows our audience, enhances our brand and hits weekly, monthly and yearly KPI's.
  • Help develop new digital audio products, with particular emphasis on complementary short-form pods, and enhanced digital audio concepts etc...
  • Maintain our process to track content performance - giving regular feedback to the senior Producer Digital Audio.
  • Deliver content related sponsorship and solutions campaigns for OTB's commercial partners. Working within an existing framework, with a close attention to detail, to ensure accurate delivery of commercial activity.
  • Book the best guests and contributors while helping to develop OTB's in-house talent.
  • Use and adapt to new technology and platforms and media trends to ensure OTB stays ahead of the curve.
  • Help with the continuous training process to ensure adequate freelance cover.
  • Contribute on air as required
  • Contribute to other areas of the business as requested by your line manager

  • You have strong audio editing skills and some experience with audio editing software
  • You have a track record of excellence in audio journalism
  • You are organised and detail oriented
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are collaborative and thrive in a group working environment
  • You are proficient in the workings of digital and social media
  • You are versatile and have the ability to adapt and engage in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
  • You have a strong interest in all sports, particularly women’s sports, soccer, GAA & rugby.

  • Knowledge of libel and defamation laws.
