Newsreader volunteer/beginner position 1x week

This rewarding role allows you to deliver news content during a live show once a week. Don't worry if you're new to the role - we provide comprehensive training to ensure you have all the skills needed to excel.

As a Newsreader, you'll play a vital role in keeping our community informed and connected. Your responsibilities include researching and gathering news stories relevant to our local community, preparing clear and concise news scripts for on-air delivery, and presenting news stories in a professional and engaging manner during the live show.

Key Responsibilities:

Researching News: Dive into the world of current events and gather news stories that matter to our community. Stay informed and keep our listeners up to date with accurate information.

Script Preparation: Craft well-written and concise news scripts, ensuring the information is delivered clearly and effectively.

On-Air Delivery: Take the spotlight and present news stories with professionalism and confidence during the live show, engaging our listeners and fostering a sense of community.

Community Engagement: Contribute to our station's efforts in fostering community engagement through news content, keeping our listeners connected and involved.

No specific qualifications required. However, a genuine passion for news and broadcasting is highly desirable.

Ability to Work Independently: Take initiative and work autonomously while following provided guidelines.

Willingness to Learn: Embrace new knowledge and training opportunities provided by our dedicated station staff.

Availability: Commit to come in once weekly to deliver news during our Good Morning show.
