- 1 active job (view)
Description
Bring your creativity and skills to rehabilitation. We’re looking for an instructor to deliver media training - including radio, audio and video production - helping prisoners gain industry-recognised skills.
What you’ll do:
- Train and mentor prisoners in media skills, health & safety, and equipment use.
- Support individual learning needs and maintain progress records.
- Assess learners to recognised standards.
- Inspire confidence and open pathways to employment post-release.
You’ll also help build, programme and schedule our new TV display information channel and develop local programme content which will broadcast locally on National Prison Radio inside HMP Brixton.
You’ll benefit from support from the wider London prison media team who already run prison radio and TV channels with media workshops in HMP Wandsworth, HMP Pentonville, HMP High Down and HMP YOI Isis.
We are keen to hear from people who have experience either in podcast, radio, audio or video production. You may be starting out in your career or with years of experience wanting to make a difference.
If you have media expertise, a passion for teaching, and want to make a difference, apply now and help unlock potential behind the prison walls.
