SONGBIRD:  Development Assistant Producer

Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for radio and podcasts?

Songbird has recently been chosen as one of the BBC’s Indie Fund recipients and we are seeking a highly creative Development AP to join our ambitious and expanding company.

You’ll be at the forefront of shaping ideas to captivate both a UK and global audience and we are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience working on successful radio programmes and/or podcasts.

Applicants must have a proven track-record of generating and developing ideas and winning commissions in Music and Speech Radio and/or Podcasts.

Excellent writing skills are needed to produce distinctive pitch treatments, and you can also confidently liaise with agents, potential presenter talent and contributors.

The post is part-time for an initial six months with the possibility to extend as we grow this arm of the company.

Hybrid working - WFH combined with regular days based in South Wales. We would love to hear from people in Wales as well as applicants from further afield. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applicants from diverse and under-represented backgrounds.
