About Fix Radio

Fix Radio is the fastest-growing radio station in the UK and the home of entertainment, music, and information for UK tradespeople. Since 2017, the station has been built from the ground up with tradespeople in mind, providing a mixture of authentic trade voices, upbeat music, and a schedule designed around the tradesperson’s day.

Broadcasting nationally on DAB since May 2022, Fix Radio has grown its weekly reach on average every quarter by over 40% from 85,000 to over 500,000 (Half a million), tradespeople and 26.7 weekly listening hours. Our commercial partners can achieve stronger ROI for their marketing investments over other radio brands as a result.

We are experiencing rapid growth in all areas of our business, including audience growth, turnover, profit, and team size. We have an amazing team of over 50 employees and have attracted and recruited the best talent in the media space. Our success has been enhanced by building a culture of collaboration where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and new ways of working to constantly improve how we operate.

About the Role

With our radio audience growing at such a rapid rate, Fix Radio is now heavily focused and invested in expanding our digital department; improving our social media visual content, and talent pool and working to a precise and dedicated digital strategy, carefully curated by the Head of Digital Content, to grow our digital audience and in turn, our listenership.

We are therefore looking to hire a Digital Content Producer to join our evolving Digital team. The Digital Content Producer will report to the Head of Digital Content and work alongside the wider programming and content team.

The Digital Content Producer will be the lead voice for capturing studio video content within Fix Radio and will showcase strong experience and expertise in visual studio equipment (cameras, lights, software, hardware and broadcast technology).

They will be responsible for identifying key on-air studio content, and additional not-for-broadcast content, that can become strong visual content, suitable for social media publication. The ideal candidate must be able to shoot and edit high-quality video content.

In addition to this, the Digital Content Producer will occasionally be expected to shoot external content, such as vox pops and social media projects.

This is a hybrid role, but you would be expected to be in the studio on days when recordings are taking place (usually 2/3 times a week.) Knowledge/experience of the trade industry isn’t required.

“Average” isn’t within our values, we want outstanding, and in return as an employer we will deliver outstanding back to you, with all the key employee benefits and highly competitive basic salary. We work hard but we make sure we have fun! We have a brilliant working environment, something we are proud of and we enjoy healthy working relationships.
