Description
Have you got a natural ability to engage with people and a passion for highlighting mental health issues?
We're looking for a new presenter for our flagship weekday evening show 'The Lounge' to produce and present an hour of unique, stand-out content one day each week that our listeners will find engaging and informative. You should aim to highlight relevant mental health topics, chat with invited guests, and promote engagement with our listeners.
The Lounge is a pre-recorded show, created from your own home or studio, so you'll need to have access to a computer, appropriate recording and editing software, and a good quality microphone. We are also able to offer remote access to our Myriad 5 playout software and schedule for presenters with experience of using this.
Mind Station is a non-profit organisation and this is a voluntary role. This position is for a minimum one hour's programming each week, although longer and more frequent shows are also available.
Maybe you already host a podcast that you think could translate well to radio? Perhaps you've never presented a radio show before but you have a natural ability to talk to people. We're looking for a natural and positive personality, so don't worry if you have little or no experience in radio.
Get in touch if you'd like more details on this position. To apply, please send us a short voice recording introducing yourself, your ideas on the type of content you think would work well on The Lounge. Send your voice clip and accompanying email to info@mindstation.co.uk.
