Start date: April/May 2025
Hours: 3 days/week, 9 months, flexible with occasional weekend work
Location: home based, remote working, anywhere in the UK
Salary: £32,000 pro rata
Interviews: conducted remotely on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March 2025
Little Wander is a comedy production company which creates festivals, tours, live events, TV, radio and podcasts. We are looking for a highly-skilled audio producer to join our team and provide leadership and management to the audio department.
Key responsibilities:
- Hold regular meetings with the audio team
- Manage workloads and deadlines for staff members and freelancers
- Oversee multiple audio projects including the production and delivery of radio programmes and the creation and publishing of podcasts
- Liaise with talent, agents, clients and commissioning editors
- Provide feedback and sign off on social media content creation
- Contribute to overall departmental strategy including marketing of audio projects, development of new ideas and pitching for tenders
- Attend some face-to-face meetings and on-location projects, including some studio-based recordings and festival-based projects
Essential experience:
- Excellent programme-maker with proven track record in ents, comedy, and/or factual
- Range of radio production skills including field recording, studio producing and audio editing to broadcast quality
- Must have experience in BBC Radio production to Producer level and have thorough knowledge of BBC editorial guidelines
- Some experience of line management
- Experience working in festivals or events
- Experience working with performers or creatives
- Evidence of managing multiple projects at once
- An interest in comedy and the arts

- Outstanding organisational skills to manage multiple busy projects
- Excellent people skills to build and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to lead a team and work creatively in a collaborative and cooperative manner
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Confidence to ask for support when required
- Enthusiasm to work independently and take ownership of workload
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience of BBC News and Current Affairs or other broadcast journalism
- Experience working as part of a team remotely
- Some experience of podcast distribution
- Some experience of festival radio
- Knowledge of the UK comedy industry
- Welsh and/or living in Wales and/or Welsh speaker
- Driving license and own vehicle

Longlisting will take place on Wednesday 12 March with a deadline of Thursday 20 March to return the tasks.
From this, shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March 2025.
