Job Description
Global Player Production Assistant (up to 9 months FTC)
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Senior Product Manager (Programming)
Overview of job
Global has been at the ground- breaking of developing radio apps across our brands – and we are now looking for a new member to join the award-winning team. We’re looking for someone who’s full of ideas, has a strong technical understanding and passion to drive listening in the ever-changing digital world.
You should ideally have a good level of experience in music scheduling systems, particularly GSelector, and a strong technical understanding; while Producer experience is preferable, it is not essential. You should have some experience using audio editing software, particularly Adobe Audition and/or Pro Tools.

Measures of success –
In the first few months, you would have:
- Received full training on our MyRadio system, and taken charge of managing your own set of stations
- Tackled your own pool of our Global-branded playlists, curating and updating them on a regular basis
- Presented new playlist ideas to the team
Responsibilities of the role
- You’ll work proactively to drive an increase in listening and engagement with our stations across a variety of platforms.
- You will be largely responsible for curation of and management of a designated pool of Global Player playlists and ensuring the highest quality MyRadio listener experience.
- And you’ll work closely with presenters and programming staff, online editors and our technology department to develop, build and maintain an enhanced listening experience for each of our Global brands.

- Thinking creatively and outside the box
- Being a brand guardian, ensuring the highest quality output for the brands you look after
- Showing a keen curiosity about a wide range of music
- Taking the initiative to seek out solutions and new ways of pushing the product forward
