Head of Production

We are looking for an experienced Head of Production to oversee all aspects of production at Midlands 103. Reporting directly to the Programme Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of station content, managing commercial output, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Protect the quality and integrity of station content at all times.
• Produce and supervise all commercial output, including general advertising, promos, and sponsor stings.
• Manage scripts and ideas for the sales team.
• Effectively manage external writers and voices.
• Produce and refresh station imaging to maintain a fresh and engaging sound.
• Provide creative support for sponsorships, promotions, outside broadcasts, digital products, and other commercial activities.
• Assist in identifying new revenue opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of radio production, including audio editing, commercial output, and station imaging.
• Experience working with external production partners and managing creative teams.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Creative mind-set with the ability to support and develop new content.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
