Description
Your Role:
As a Presenter & Executive Producer, you will be the voice and driving force behind our flagship news and current affairs programme. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with our audience, deliver compelling content, and shape the future of our programming.
Day to Day You Will:
- Produce and present compelling content for LMFM’s 9am-11am news and current affairs show, using all aspects of production including audio & video editing.
- Develop compelling content for LMFM’s digital/online platforms for the show.
- Ensure compliance with all codes/guidelines both internal and from Coimisiún na Meán, as well as with relevant legislation.
- Write and edit scripts, show notes, and promotional material to maintain consistency and quality across all broadcasts.
- Working with the station's Content Controller, monitoring audience feedback and ratings, and adapting content strategies to enhance listener engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement creative ideas for new segments and features.
- Collaborate with the news team to deliver timely and accurate news updates.
- Work with the commercial team to develop and execute sponsored content.
- Archive audio to locate key audio moments for award entries and a daily podcast(s).
What We’re Looking for from You:
- You have a strong background in radio/TV presenting and production.
- You possess excellent technical skills in audio & video editing and production (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition)
- Video editing skills as you will be required to create strong online content to complement your on-air work.
- A good understanding of media law and relevant regulator Codes.
- A genuine passion for radio and an understanding of the LMFM audience particularly in Louth, Meath and also adjoining counties.
- A willingness to represent the station professionally externally.
- You have a deep understanding of audience engagement and content creation.
- You are innovative, with a keen eye for new trends and ideas in broadcasting.
