Sales Executive – Timeless Radio

Timeless Radio, the station that plays music and melodies from across the generations is looking for two Sales and Sponsorship Executives to join our small team. We currently broadcast on DAB in Edinburgh and Blackpool/Fylde Coast with a number of adjoining areas to be added in the next few months. Working from home, one Executive will cover the Lothians and Fife, and one North West England. You will be based in your area and should have access to transport for client meetings in your area, although most contact will be by phone, email and being 2022 - Zoom or Teams!

What we are looking for? Ideally someone who 'gets' our target audience! Our audience is unashamedly 50+ and you should be at home with our ethos of music and melodies. Think James Last rather than Nicki Minaj. You should have media sales experience, ideally radio, but local press or magazines is fine. If you don't have radio experience, that's fine - we can train you in that. What we need is people who will build a relationship with potential clients, and to be frank be prepared to contact a lot of funeral directors, sheltered housing organisations, and motability dealers. These positions would suit someone 'retired' who wants to keep their hand in and earn a nice 'side hustle'. These positions are commission based only, but to recognise that the Sales Executive is probably the most important person in the organisation we are offering an eye-watering commission rate.
