About The Role
We are seeking a talented Shooting Editor who can demonstrate their passion for video and creative thinking. The chosen candidate will have plenty of ideas, energy and enthusiasm and be able to work hard and fast on a variety of projects. You will be producing videos for our wide range of stations social platforms and website as well as those of our clients. You should have experience working with editorial content and be very social media savvy. You are a real team player who is enthusiastic about developing new ideas and taking the initiative on a daily basis. This is a fixed-term contract, from April 2025 to December 2025.
The video projects will encompass a wide range of content, including event video production, social media and news videos, and live-produced shows broadcast on social platforms. You should be aware of current social media trends and how audiences engage with the content that they enjoy, as well as being conscious of how Irish and international brands align themselves with the way they communicate and how that communication is delivered and received.
The ideal candidate is proficient with the Sony camera ecosystem and Adobe Premiere Pro, comfortable shooting on both professional cameras and mobile devices to a broadcast-ready standard
The role does require working outside of normal office hours, when required, for specific projects and events
A full and clean Driver’s licence is required for the role, as you will be travelling through Ireland, and further, for respective projects and events.
A valid passport is required for the position, and for non-EU citizens, a valid work permit is required for the application.
In this position, you will...
- Create high-quality videos that meet station and client briefs by developing concepts, storyboards, and facilitating all stages of production, from pre-production to final delivery.
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality short- and long-form videos optimized for mobile and tailored to social media best practices.
- Maintain, prepare, and transport video and audio equipment to various filming locations.
- Vision-mix multi-camera productions for roadshows and outside broadcasts.
- Ensure that equipment for all shoots is present and working.
- Collaborate with the Head of Video and internal marketing and social teams to produce engaging content.
- Work across multiple brands and clients while maintaining an understanding of each one’s unique identity and style.
- Support and coordinate with freelancers on larger projects as needed.
- Mentor junior employees and team members by sharing skills and industry knowledge.
- Adhere to data management standards and maintain a strong understanding of GDPR compliance.
The ideal candidate will have...
- Full, clean driver’s license with the ability to travel across Ireland and internationally for projects.
- Proficiency in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, including basic sound mixing, titling, and colour grading.
- Experience in live video production, including multi-camera setups and live streaming would be a bonus.
- Understanding of basic lighting techniques and appropriate lighting setups for various projects.
- Strong project management, time-management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a creative team environment.
- Receptive to direction, feedback, and revisions to enhance video quality.
- Ability to record and produce industry standard audio
- A willing understanding that some projects and events will require you to work outside of typical office hours.
