Radio Nova, Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio and Sunshine 106.8 are three of Ireland’s leading commercial broadcasters. Between us, we reach hundreds of thousands of listeners every week, across Dublin, the commuter belt, and Ireland’s biggest cities.

We’re looking for a dynamic, driven, and creative Head of News to lead and shape the news and sports output for all three stations. This is not just a senior editorial role, it’s your chance to build your own dream news team from the ground up, setting the tone, style, and standard for our broadcast and digital news across Ireland.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage all news and sports content across three distinct radio brands.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire a talented news team, ensuring world class hourly bulletins throughout the day.
• Work closely with Programme Directors to tailor engaging, relevant, and distinctive content for each audience.
• Deliver creative, accurate, and impactful news, on air, online, and on social media.
• Drive breaking news coverage and lead from the front as both manager and on-air broadcaster.

Who you are

• An experienced journalist/broadcaster with at least 3 years’ commercial radio news reading experience in Ireland.
• Proven leader with a track record in managing people in a busy news environment.
• Confident on air with a great voice, sharp writing skills, and excellent editorial judgement.
• Familiar with Burli newsroom software and Adobe Audition.
• Strong knowledge of Irish news, current affairs, and sport.
• Skilled in digital and social media storytelling.
