Description
Attention North East Football Fans and Producers!
Are you a passionate individual with an unwavering love for your local team, Newcastle United, Sunderland and Middlesbrough? Do you possess exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail? Are you ready to be part of an exciting radio station centered around our beloved football team? If so, this is an extraordinary opportunity for you!
Three new radio stations, The Toon (Newcastle and Tyneside), The Cat (Sunderland and Wearside) and The Red (Middlesbrough and Teesside) have launched this year on DAB, Online and on Smart Speakers and we are looking for talented producers, with a passion for the area and their team to join us.
Who we're looking for:
Local Legends: Are you a born-and-bred Geordie, Mackem or Smoggy or do you have strong affiliations with the North East? We want producers who truly understand the heartbeat of the region and its deep connection to their teams.
Football Fanatics: Though we are not footy radio stations, footy does course through the veins of North East life, so your passion for your team should be unmatched! We need producers who can curate captivating content, conduct insightful interviews, and provide engaging coverage of the team and its players.
Organizational Wizards: As a producer, you'll be responsible for managing the behind-the-scenes aspects of our shows. We need individuals with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Though we are three separate radio stations, we will be networking all three at key times to allow for true North East debate and banter to over 1.5 million adults. You could be central to it.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our talented presenters and production team to create compelling radio content centered around Newcastle United, including pre-match analysis, post-match reviews, interviews, and exclusive features.
Conduct thorough research to stay up-to-date with the latest team news, transfers, and match statistics. Provide accurate and relevant information to enhance the quality of our broadcasts.
Assist in the planning and execution of on-air competitions, live events, and promotional activities, aimed at engaging our loyal listeners and expanding our fan base.
Perks:
Invaluable Experience: Joining the North East’s Finest Radio Group offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of radio production. You'll work alongside industry professionals and learn the tricks of the trade.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with influential figures in the football industry, fellow producers, and potential mentors who can guide your career in radio production.
The Joy of Giving Back: While this role is unpaid initially, it allows you to make a meaningful impact on the local community and contribute to the shared passion for your team.
How to Apply:
We have huge plans for these stations, and more. If you're ready to make your mark in the world of radio production and become an integral part of the team, please send an email to admin@RAGroupUK.com. Include a brief introduction about yourself, your love for the team, any relevant experience, and why you believe you'd be the perfect addition to our team.
Please note that due to the high volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted for further discussions.
Join us at the region’s newest radio group and let your passion for the North East, and the magic of radio shine through… and have fun doing it!
