About the Role
As OTB evolved to become Ireland’s biggest sports platform, the role of content creator changed from the traditional role of sports reporter/reader. Sports Journalists working across our network fully encompass the trends in our industry and continually evolve to prepare the business for reaching new audiences, more often.
They will also allow us to grow the profile of our individual team members, deepen the team members’ expertise and prepare everyone collectively for whatever the digital future holds. We will continue to deliver best in class sports news across the Bauer and National network but our social channels, podcast network, events, reporting, programmes and all outward facing communications all now also reflect the busy newsroom and content sources we have in house.
Our opportunity is to grow the best sports news platform in Ireland. Clearly our commitment to quality programming across all our stations is the major competitive advantage Off The Ball has in the marketplace. It’s vital that all our team members have the flexibility where required to contribute ideas, reporting, on air hits, guest booking and create content as the day requires.
