Senior Podcast Producer
Reporting of the role
This role reports to Head of News and Factual Podcasts
Overview of job
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Podcast Producer with a proven track record in podcast production and strong talent management skills. Previous work should include a variety of podcast styles including factual, narrative and talent led content. You should also have experience and an understanding of the role video content plays in amplifying podcasts.

In the first few months, you would have:
- Developed original formats aligned with Global’s podcast strategy
- Worked with some of the biggest talent in the podcast business
- Brought your best podcast ideas to life with original audio and video treatments
- Formed relationships with internal and external partners/Talent/Management

- Worked across several Global Original podcasts
- Developed original formats aligned with Global’s podcast strategy
- Identified talent that resonates with the target audience
- Grown audience for the slate of podcasts you are responsible for
- Built and developed relationships with internal and external partners/talent/management
What you will need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
- You will be required to show a high level of creativity, imagination in audio content creation and be highly proficient with audio editing software
- You will have a strong background as an experienced producer of podcasts and/or live radio
- You will need to have strong talent management skills and work well to focused briefs and production deadlines
- You will be flexible enough to work across a range of categories and styles with an up-to-date understanding of diversity and inclusivity
- You will have a wide ranging and deep knowledge of the current podcasting world including an in-depth awareness of industry trends and the commercial landscape of podcasting in the UK and other key markets
- You’ll be a listener of podcasts across multiple categories and genres.
- You will have a detailed understanding of how to promote podcasts effectively and the ability to build additional social media and short form audio and video content to help drive audience to the podcasts.
