Content Producer – Absolute Radio

We are looking for a Content Producer to join our team at Absolute Radio in London.

You will be joining Absolute's award-winning team of producers, creating compelling and engaging content for more than five million people. We’re looking for someone with bright ideas and the tenacity to bring them to life. This office/studio-based role will include producing key entertainment shows across the schedule including Rock N Roll Football on Saturdays.

You’ll get the chance to work with top-tier talent and be part of the station’s big plans for the future. You’ll need to be creative, organised and have a flexible approach to working on a daytime show one day, producing an OB the next and then being part of our documentary programming the day after. We’d love to meet an all-rounder who has produced big shows at a national level.

Our Team

Absolute Radio is a pioneer in digital radio and its music team have created a network of 9 digital radio stations in addition to the main Absolute Radio.  As part of the music team, you will be an intrinsic part in delivering further innovation which attracts new audiences.

Responsibilities

• Producer daytimes (Tuesday-Friday)
• Lead Producer of weekend content including Rock N Roll Football (Saturday)
• Cover Producer (Hometime)
• Producer of Entertainment-led content including guest interviews
• Producer of event programming content. Examples could include festivals/specials/themed weeks

What we are looking for 

• Programme production including audio editing / studio management / talent management
• An ability to develop commercially attractive creative ideas, gain buy-in from key stakeholders and deliver for on-air
• Organisational skills in terms of planning/managing regularly scheduled and event programmes
• An ability to edit video and create engaging social media content
• An ability to take a step back to look at how the show / content / task fits into the wider station/Bauer strategy
• Calmness under pressure
• Strong and considered communication skills
• A thorough understanding of the OFCOM broadcast code
• A thorough understanding of play-out systems
• A passion for football is advantageous but not essential.
