Job Introduction

BBC Radio Guernsey is looking for a talented journalist to join the team.  We may be small but we have big ambitions, broadcasting to diverse audiences in Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. The Channel Islands are not part of the UK or EU, they are self-governing Crown Dependences. Even if we say so ourselves, Guernsey has to be one of the best places to live and work and you’re never more than twenty minutes from a beach!

We’re looking for a strong all-rounder. You’ll have experience in setting up and producing great radio but you might also be skilled in news-reading or reporting – maybe both!  Creativity is really important – you’ll have the ability to tell stories from across the Bailiwick in a creative and dynamic way that engages our audience.

You’ll be a good team player and you’ll be brimming with ideas on news stories to share with your colleagues and our audience. You’ll also have the ability to recognise how we can share those stories in a variety of ways, not just on the radio, but on social media as well.

For an informal chat about this opportunity, please contact Executive Producer, Michelle Daniel (michelle.daniel@bbc.co.uk)
