Description

Role: Social Video Editor / Motion Designer

Location: [LONDON] Salary: [£40k+ Dependent upon experience]

FUBAR is expanding. We are looking for a Social Video Editor who lives and breathes Adobe After Effects.

We don’t want an editor who just clips things together, we need someone who can take our output and turn it into twenty second epics that you cannot ignore. You need to know how to make short stories pop, create jaw-drop moments and stop viewers in their tracks before they have a chance to scroll.

What You Will Do:

  1. You are responsible for building addictive content. You’re expected to produce high-intensity, visually striking social video content heavily reliant on your After Effects, Photoshop and Premier Pro skills.
  2. We need you to innovate relentlessly. Repeating the past isn’t habit forming, we expect you to keep on inventing and refining to keep our audience engaged. We want the person who brings better, sharper, and more disruptive visual ideas to the table every single week. Social media is our shop window, we need our audience
  3. No two shows are the same. At FUBAR we have a huge variety of output. One hour you might be visualizing a heavy political debate; the next, you’re creating motion graphics for a true crime documentary or a comedy segment. You need to match the visual tone to the truth and style of the story.
  4. We want you to break the rules. Use every trick in the book and invent new ones to make sure every post always looks on-point and unforgettable.

What You Need:

  1. At least five years industry experience in short-form video production using After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Knowledge of Audition is desirable.
  2. You need to be an After Effects Power User. You don't just know your way around AE; you own it. You understand pacing, kinetic typography, motion tracking, and advanced visual effects. You can show us the videos to back it up.
  3. You are fluent in Social Media. You know exactly what works on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You understand watch-time retention and how visual hooks dictate algorithm success. You know how to spot the trends before they blow-up and instinctively understand each audience. You can demonstrate more than five instances your knowledge turned into huge views.
  4. You can reliably and intelligently condense long-form content into catchy habit-forming videos less than 30 seconds long. You can do this again and again to grow and retain our audience. You can show us at least three examples.
  5. We need you to be punk. You are proactive, unapologetic, and ready to challenge the status quo. We want punchy attitude in your work, a passion to make something different and breakthrough the doom-scroll boredom.
  6. Your portfolio is everything. We don’t care where you went to school. We care about your reel. Show us work that proves you can build the fast-paced, high-end style we are looking for, and we’ll talk.

What We Offer:

  1. A platform to do the best, most uncompromised work of your career.
  2. An opportunity to join the next big movement in broadcast media. We’re going places and if you join us now, you’ll get to put your stamp on how we look and feel.
  3. Competitive salary, holiday, benefits, dependent on experience.

How to Apply: Send us your reel, your CV, and a 20-second cut of your best After Effects work to info@fubarradio.com. No cover letters filled with corporate jargon. Mention the word giraffe in your application so we know you read this. Let your work do the talking.
