Description

DC Thomson Media is seeking a talented broadcast journalist to join our brilliant team in Fife.

As a reporter for Kingdom FM you will drive the news agenda for communities across the area every day – getting great interviews, sourcing exclusives, and providing our newsreaders with a steady stream of content to ensure our listeners are kept right up to date with what is happening locally and nationally.

We are looking for someone who is a real self-starter – with the desire to go out and speak to the people at the heart of a story - and who is not afraid to ask the difficult questions.

A sound knowledge of regulatory, legal and moral issues related to broadcast news, a relevant qualification, and a driving licence are a must for this role. Some experience of working in a broadcast environment would be desirable. You will also have a presence on social media, with the ability to write accurate and engaging copy for our website.

As part of the role, there will be opportunities to work alongside the award-winning news teams throughout DC Thomson, who create some of the most successful newspapers and websites in the UK.

This is a fantastic chance to join of one of the country's best loved local stations, part of the largest Scottish-owned radio group.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Driving licence
  • Relevant qualification

To apply, please follow our online application process and submit a CV and cover letter.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working from our Kingdom FM, Kirkcaldy Office.  We offer a generous package including 34 days holiday, Health Cash Plan, Gym Discount, excellent Pension, a competitive salary, and many more staff discounts and benefits.
