Sales Executive – Timeless Radio – Cheshire/Staffs

Timeless Radio, the station that plays music and melodies from across the generations is looking for a freelance Sales and Sponsorship Executive to join our small team. We currently broadcast on DAB in South Cheshire and North Staffordshire with a number of adjoining areas to be added in the next few months. Working from home, you should have access to transport for client meetings in your area, although most contact will be by phone, email and being 2023 - Zoom or Teams!

What we are looking for? Ideally someone who 'gets' our target audience! Our audience is unashamedly 50+ and you should be at home with our ethos of music and melodies. Think James Last rather than Nicki Minaj. You should have media sales experience, ideally radio, but local press or magazines is fine. If you don't have radio experience, that's fine - we can train you in that. What we need is someone who will build a relationship with potential clients, and to be frank (Sinatra..) be prepared to contact a lot of funeral directors, sheltered housing organisations, and motability dealers. This position would suit someone 'retired' who wants to keep their hand in and earn a nice 'side hustle'. This position is commission based only, but to recognise that the Sales Executive is probably the most important person in the organisation we are offering an eye-watering commission rate.
